When starting a new work at home business it is very easy to become consumed by it. We spend so much time trying to get the business up and running that we may end up becoming burned out and lose our motivation. Being random is so much fun. It allows you to be outrageously playful when you can, relieving yourself from stress and being really grateful for everything you can. Now when you're being random, how about making it extra special by doing something kind for someone else, even if it's just picking up something they dropped. I want you to just visualise yourself getting the shopping out of the car booth. You've got a lot, it's a little heavy and no help at all. You see a young boy striding down the road and he comes up to you. His warmth overwhelms you and the next thing you know is that he's helping you take your shopping out of the car! How does it make you feel? Bring those feelings forward? What a pleasant feeling it is to have somebody be so kind and helpful? Relive those moments. What can you hear? What can you smell? What do you feel? Just imagine if you did something like that for someone else? They would feel amazing, or even more, you'd feel great! Have you heard of Danny Wallace? He wrote a book called 'random acts of kindness' a while back and lists 365 ways of making random acts. His motto is "undertake a random act of kindness for a stranger!" Now this newsletter goes out to over 1200 people so imagine the number of acts! Find out how and what you can do below... Here's one of my favourite random acts: I was walking home one afternoon from a lovely day out and an elderly lady was taking some of her shopping out of the car booth. I went over and helped her and the smile on her face said it all! I plucked a flower from the plant nearby and gave it to her! She invited me in for milk and biscuits but I had to decline (I was now running late!). Thank you Aunt Jo! I now pop in every week on the way home to say hello and it's such an amazing sight and feeling! Next time you're having fun, why not bring in a lovely RANDOM act of kindness. It doesn't have to be big. It doesn't have to be small. Here are ten of my favourite ideas... 1) Help someone get the shopping out of the car 2) Smile to the person walking down the street 3) Send a greeting card, or even an e-card to a friend 4) Open your phone book to a random page and give a person you haven't spoken to in a while a call 5) Send some flowers or chocolates to a loved one 6) When you're next buying something, smile and acknowledge the servant for their great work 7) Pluck a flower and give to a close one out of love 8) Help around the house for a while 9) Take part in the family shopping - do your part. 10) Donate to the Tsunami Appeal (DEC) at www.dec.org.uk Do you want to make a contribution to those who have suffered in the terrible killer wave? Well, here's a way you can do so and also benefit yourself. Spend £45/$85 on a coaching session for yourself or someone else with InnerRhythm Coaching whilst knowing that all the money goes to the Tsunami sufferers.
