We spend so much time trying to get the business up and running that we may end up becoming burned out and lose our motivation. There is so much to learn and

It's critical that we realize our lives can change at any moment.Realistically, there will be times when our everyday lives suddenly alter; theonly question is when. It could happen when you least expect it. You might geta dreaded phone call, come up with a brilliant idea, loose your job, meet a newfriend, discover a new career direction, or fall in love. You just never know, and this is one of the reasons that makes life so fascinatingly mysterious.I know it's not always easy to shift out of what we do and how wedo it, nor is it always easy to shift our views in order to see new things inplace of the old. It is often frightening and confusing to make a shift awayfrom the familiar in order to embrace the unknown. Yet it is necessary energywe must apply in order to grow. No matter how challenging, difficult, or hardit may seem, shifts are necessary to free ourselves from the confinement of ourunnecessary self-made mental, emotional, or physical limitations. All shifts create a vibration which in turn affect everythingaround it. If you shift a piece of chalk in a box, all the other pieces ofchalks will move. Sometimes moving a single piece of chalk will cause a slightshift. Under other circumstances, moving a single piece may mean the othersfall, crack, and crumble. This is why sometimes in fear of the effects ourchanges will create, we delay making a much-needed shift in our minds andbehaviors. As a result, our lives and everything around us remain stuck—leadingour spirits to feel frustrated, depressed, confused, doubtful, or even angry. To avoid being “stuck” and falling prey to negative emotions, whenthe time comes to “move”, you must move—embrace “change”! However, before you goahead and make changes in your life, you must seriously consider the differentkinds of income you’re generating in all your accounts. Aside from monetaryincome, there are also psychological, spiritual and physical income. You haveto consider the balance in all your accounts because a high figure in one andnothing in the others adds up to a very low average.Realize when you choose a certain kind of behavior, you alsochoose the consequences of the balance in each account. So let's say you chooseto invest 80 percent of your energy in your job and 20 percent in your personalrelationship—it doesn't matter whether you can justify the demands atwork—essentially what matters is that you've chosen to allow your personalrelationship to loose a vital connection.Be truthful about what is or isn't working in your life. Honestlyassess where you stand with your beliefs in self-management—mentally,emotionally, physically and spiritually. You cannot afford to be fearful, defensive or to be in denial; this can truly harm you. It diminishes what mighthave been a real chance to overcome a problem had the solution just beenpursued in time.Gather the strength and courage to ask yourself the hard questions, and give yourself realistic answers. Remember—you can't change what you don'tacknowledge. If you refuse to acknowledge the changes that occur or need tooccur in your life, your own self-destructive behaviors will not only continue, they will actually gain momentum, become more deeply entrenched in the habitualpatterns of your life, and grow more and more resistance to change. And let meremind you, nothing glorious can come out of this negative habitual pattern!© 2008 Penny Phang.com Inc.All rights reserved. You may use, reprint orrepublish this article as long as you include the copyright and companyinformation with live link.
