We spend so much time trying to get the business up and running that we may end up becoming burned out and lose our motivation. There is so much to learn and

Everyone thinks of making money from home as being the best thing that could happen to them. After all, you can work from the comforts of home, without having to travel to work everyday; you can choose your own work hours, and there are none of the hassles associated with a conventional boss. You are your own boss and there’s nobody to tell you what you can and can’t do. However, that’s just the bright side of the picture. You also need to be aware of the problems you are going to face when making money from home. Like they say, Forewarned is forearmed. Managing Your TimeOne of the bigger challenges of making money from home – Time Management! Working from home, means a lot of flexibility of time. Since you are in no hurry to reach anywhere on time, you do tend to take things for granted, like lounging in the bed for a few minutes longer, spending more time over your cup of coffee, and the inclination to postpone work to a later part in the day. It’s important to set a specific time for work everyday and make sure you stick by it. Lack of Respect and Support from Friends and FamilyA lot of people who are making money from home complain that their friends and family seem to have no respect for their work. The attitude is more like “If you are working from home, it could hardly be as important as a regular job.” Because you are physically present at home, you are considered to be available for household chores and social calls. Set your boundaries with your friends and family and get the message across to them that when you are working, you really are working and any disturbance or interruption will not be tolerated. Out of Touch with the Rest of the WorldPeople who are working and making money from home run the serious danger of being cut off from the rest of the world. At work, there is a little bit of fooling around with your colleagues, some interaction over a cup of coffee, and getting together in the break time. However, when you are all by yourself at home, this social interaction is missing. Another flipside is that if you are at home all the time, you may not be able to stay abreast of the technological advancements or breakthroughs in your field. Technological advancements aside, you may also be out of touch with relevant news and information pertaining to your line of work; information without which, you may very well stagnate and lag behind people who are still in sync with what is happening around them. Too Much Time by Yourself, Too Much Time with the FamilyThat’s right. It can get lonely working all by yourself in the house, with no chit chat to break the monotony and provide relaxation. And then, you are constantly surrounded by your family, from whom you can’t seem to get away. For any kind of a healthy relation, be it personal or official, some amount of time-out is required. So, make sure that you take a break from your family and step out once in a while, and take a break from the monotony of work and socialize every now and then.
