When I decided I wanted to learn how to make money online the economy was still going strong. The only way I could make more money was to keep raising my hourly rate to my clients.I did raise my rates, but that only seemed to cover higher gas prices, higher insurance costs and increasing complications of a technology business where software became buggier and hardware failed more often. Frustrations increased while my patience decreased.What I have described is a recipe for burnout.When you learn how to make money online you will find that you can take some time out to watch a movie or play a game with your kids, come back to the computer and know that two things have happened.First, you recharged your batteries by relaxing and enjoying yourself. Second, you check your accounts and find that you made money online while doing something else. You leveraged your time so that you no longer only make money will directly inputting effort.With my offline business, every time I took time off to spend time with my family my income would go on break with me. So if I charged $100 per hour for my time working for clients, that meant that every hour I chose to spend with my family was $100 less to spend ON my family - minus taxes, of course.But you get the idea.After a while it becomes a paradox. If you want to spend time with your family, which usually costs money, you cannot because you are not out there earning money to pay for the activity.Yes, my offline job was providing a decent living for us, but only as long as I did not stop to smell the roses, so to speak.
