If you have carpets at home, you've probably had a problem with carpet stains at least once. Some discolourations are really stubborn and hard for removal, and very few people can manage them. This post is about such spots, which can't be cleaned easy. I will share a list of stains, which you don't want to see on your carpets. I will start with cat urine stains. These are really bad, because they show cats where to go to toilet and smell really awful. The more you keep such a stain on your flooring, the worse the odour gets and the more your cat pees around it. It is in your favour to remove the cat urine stains as soon as possible. Be careful what products you use for the purpose, though, because ammonia-based cleaners will cause you more problems. They are effective and remove the spot, but they leave a smell which attracts cats just like their urine attracts them. Vinegar-based solutions have the same properties, so avoid them, too. I personally recommend that you pick a nice commercial cleaner for cat urine stains. Spaghetti sauce with minced beef and tomatoes. This is something you don't want to clean. It is greasy, it is sticky and it is red. Such a stain happened to me once, while serving spaghetti to my friends. I flipped three plates at a time on my beige carpet, and almost got a heart attack. My friends still make fun of me when they see me eating spaghetti. I had to hire professional cleaners to remove the spaghetti sauce from my rug, because things got worse after I tried to remove it. Apricot stains - I guess nobody suspects these fruits leave stains, but they do. And these stains are a lot worse than blackberry and other berry stains. They practically can't be removed with the usual cleaners we use in our homes. Professional equipment and detergents are required, and good results are still not guaranteed.Chewing gum stains - if you don't know how to remove these, they can really get you into trouble. Don't try to clean them with hair dryers, peanut butter and ice cubes. These methods are not very effective and the cleaning might result in a bigger spot. Instead of the mentioned methods, you can clean chewing gum stains with brown paper and iron. Cover the affected area with paper and iron with a hot iron. The gum will transfer to the paper and your flooring will be clean again.So, guys, be very careful not to stain your carpets with some of the above, or with anything else.
