TheSC 30 only has an 8-3/4" wide throat. This is designed for shreddingdocuments that are letter sized by feeding them into the shredder withthe short end first. However, the small throat size of this shreddergreatly reduces productivity and limits its ability to handle largerformat documents.Although some users prefer a strip cutshredder, the SC-030 is less secure than a cross cut model and canquickly fill a small wastebasket with shredded paper.
