We put more stress on fruitful work completionrather than just spending 10 to 6 at office and doing no productivework. Nowadays each and every company be it softwares, Hardwares orany other company cares for its employees because if the employeeswill not get better conditions to work , they will not work and alwaysgo on strike for all sorts of demands. Its always better and in favorof Company Administration to understand employees needs from time totime and upgrade accordingly. It does not means that each and everydemand needs to be fulfilled but it should be reviewed.A question always arises as to why a healthy working environment isneeded ? Employees are the backbone of a Company and if they are notproductive there will be low output and hence less profit. Ifemployees are given good working conditions they will always want towork and stick to a particular company instead of pay packages. Thereare only few employees who shift because of pay package, many shiftdue to poor working conditions. Top notch officials have to look intoeach and every minute thing to get maximum work done from an employee.We do all assessment starting from when an employee enters an officeto when he leaves the office, his productivity, and whether he shouldget promotion or not but have we spend enough time in checking as towhy a particular employee is not doing fruitful work and what type ofhelp we can provide so that he turns into an asset for the company. Itis also sometimes seen that few employees are fruitful when they jointhe company and then their work deteriorates. Have we tried to findout why ?If its a big company its very hard to look into problems of each andevery employee but its not impossible. We adopt new technology newideas but forget to change few basic things at our office which may behampering the output. Take for example the case of software company.It must be assured that each and every employee gets good chair torest his back as he has to sit for long hours. The table should behigh enough so that the monitor of the computer is just in front andan employee. He need not stress his back. The keyboard should be goodand no keys misplaced. The mouse should be in good condition. Itsalways better to go for LCD monitors than the normal ones as it doesnot strains the eyes. Then comes work , when a particular project isassigned to a project manager a team is formed for a specific periodof time so that the work is completed on time. Its the whole teamwhich works towards the success and completion of project and not aone man show. But it sometimes happens that we appreciate the work ofProject manager but forget to appreciate a particular employee withoutwhose contribution timely completion would not have been achieved.Recognition is very important and even a small staff should beappreciated for his good work. If its summers proper cooling facilityshould be there. Good lighting conditions should be there. Its saidthat “ Take care of your employees and they will take care of the work“.Office environment should be light and not a tense one. Its veryimportant to be serious towards our work but that does not mean thatwe should work in a tensed environment. The employees should be atease and they should laugh often. The gap between top management andemployees should be minimum so that a particular employee feels freeto discuss his problem to a particular person. Nowadays every companyhas got a grievance cell to look into the problems of the employeesbut very few reach there.The environment of office should not be political. Each and everyemployee should work with full cooperation and devotion. A lot ofemployees don't speak up or leave the company due to politicalenvironment and non cooperative seniors. Policies of companies shouldbe such that it should not hamper the interest of the employees.Employees should be given freedom to share their ideas and give theirsuggestions from time to time. Sometimes small ideas play wonders andit may come from some one whom you never expected. Let your employeesspeak up.You should always tell the employee as to what is expected from him.This will create a sense of importance in him and he will work for thecompany. These are the small and minor things which should be takencare of , for the success of the company. We have healthy food,healthy drink then why not a healthy work environment. The employeesshould be given enough holidays so that their productivity do notdeteriorate. An overworked employee is not at all good. A diseasedemployee should be allowed enough rest because it sometimes happensthat he comes to work and passes on the same to other coworkers andthe whole office gets sick. Treat your employees as assets and theywill never become your liability. Make them work in a healthyenvironment and see the wonders happening every day at office.
