The P210E is very easy to use, thanks to a punching mechanism thatworks with the touch of a button. It can punch up to 15 sheets of paperat once and you can bind documents that are up to 110 pages long. Theholes the machine punches are large enough so you can easily insert theProClick spines. And speaking of spines, the P210E has a set of hookson top of the machine that can hold on your binding spine, making iteasier to bind your documents. The P210E has great technological features. One of these is the new GBC"guide right" function that helps you load and center your pages in thepunch as accurately as possible. There's also a sliding document trayyou can use to properly align your document for punching. This featurewill help to ensure that you don't wind up with a bad punching job thatwill cost you lost time. The machine punches holes in a 3:1 pitchpattern, so not only can you use ProClick binding spines, you can alsouse spiral coil to bind your documents. You'll have to do it by hand,though, because the P210E can't perform coil binding. If you decide todo that, be sure to have a pair of crimping pliers handy to turn up theend of the coil so your booklet won't fall apart. There are some drawbacks to the P210E. First, the sizes and color ofthe binding supplies available for use with this machine are prettylimited. Currently, ProClick spines are available in three differentsizes (5/16", 1/2", and 5/8") and there are only four colors on themarket, including black and navy blue. So if these sizes and colorswon't work well with your documents (and your company's image), you'dbe better of choosing a different machine or using color spines, whichcome in a large assortment of colors. Also, the P210E can only bind letter-sized documents because it doesn'thave disengageable dies. This means you won't be able to bind documentsthat are half-letter size, A4, and so on. You can punch slightlyoversized covers with this machine (8.75" x 11.25"), but that's theextent of the machine's punching capabilities. Overall, the GBC P210E electric ProClick binding bachine is a goodchoice for offices that need a reliable ProClick binding machine. It iseasy to use and it is nice that the machine gives you the option ofeither binding with ProClick spines or spiral coils. It is also prettyinexpensive (less than $400.00), which is always a plus, especially intoday's economy. However, this unit is definitely not for high-volumeoperations nor people who want the ability to make custom-sizedbooklets. But overall, the P210E is a solid machine that should meetthe needs of occasional binders.
