I am reminded of a story that I once heard from a preacher,I think his name was John Maxwell. Rev. Maxwell told the story of a man whoentered his Donkey in the Kentucky Derby. This is a very timely story, since the Kentucky Derby is only days away.I cant remember the whole story, but the bottom line is that people thoughtthe man had lost his mind for entering a donkey in the Kentucky Derby. The derby is one of the most prestigious races in the worldand only the finest of horses have the honor and privilege of running init. How could this man even let thethought cross his mind that his donkey actually had a chance to win? Well it turned out that the man was not crazyafter all. You see, he knew that thedonkey could not win, he just wanted him to be able to associate with thefinest of horses, hoping that maybe something would rub off on him. The moral here may have been a little stretched for adonkey, but it holds true in all walks of life for people. As a parent or a grandparent, you watchclosely who your offspring associate with. You want them to associate with children of good stature and reputation.
