Whypeople prefer to follow the teacher than the teachings? The truth is that man is an animal bybirth. Like all animals, he knows nothing,not to speak, understand or respond at birth. Only with sense organs, every child starts detecting theirsurroundings. All other human behavioursare taught to them by parents and relatives. Aman by birth is an animal and learned later to live like a human. But due to the competition to live, succeed, achieveetc., most men tend to re-manifest all their animal characteristics ortraits. Whena man turns into an animal, his intellectual learning stops and then his survivallearning begins. When his intellectuallearning stops, he fails to learn the teachings of most teachers. What else they can do other than followingthe teacher under such occasions. Lookat the animal world. All domestic andfarm animals only know to follow their masters. There are severalspiritual masters are there and most the students or disciples of these mastersonly know to follow the master and not the teachings. Following the masters means solution to theirproblems and this is what their understanding. So they pay least and the last attention to the teachings. Slowly, they start venerating their masterslike gods like how animals respect and follow their masters. Thequestion is when man live like a man? Not at the time of his birth. Maybe during his early life where he learns to live like a man. Thecorporate employees must ask the question of are they learning from their bossor following the boss. Following theboss means success and learning from the boss means nothing. Another truth is that even to the learning,people in corporate generally attach commercial value. If they learn, they get this or can get thereand if they fail to learn, they may loose it or may not get there. Once again the man proves to be like ananimal, follow the teachings only because of the reward or punishment.
