The scope does really transmit plenty of light which offers a bright and very detailed image of what you are seeing. Truly awesome results are to be had with the light gathering of this rifle scope. As for the field of view, at 3x mag, it offers a nearly 34 feet, and when the scope is at 9x mag, you are given 11.8 feet. This is an excellent scope to have out in the field, and it gives an awesome view so that you can easily locate whatever target you intend to find. Then is becomes no problem at all to dial in your shot.Last comments will be about mounting the scope. When you have obtained the correct set of rings, the scope becomes quite easy to mount. All it will take you is a few minutes to attach the rings and then you would just go ahead and mount the Nikon scope at the rail of your rifle.
