Millwright Toronto, OntarioMain Duties and ResponsibilitiesRepair, maintain, install, replace, troubleshoot and diagnose various machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, conveyors, belts, fans utilizing hand tools and testing instrumentsInspect completed repairs and recommend an appropriate solutionPerform all work with strict adherence to all applicable safety legislation and proceduresEstimates time and material costs on electrical and mechanical projectsRequisition supplies and materials as required and approved by management.Work from engineering drawings rough sketches, manuals or verbal instruction and install equipment to diagram specificationsProvide performance feedback to workers to motivate or improve adherence to operating procedures or quality standardsComplete work orders as required and ensures appropriate follow-up communicationDisassemble machines and repair/replace/adjust parts accordinglyClean and lubricate equipment, parts and machineryMaintain equipment in proper operating conditionMay be required to perform machine operator duties on occasionAssist co-workers with any questions or issues regarding task completionOther tasks as assigned by managementQualificationsMinimum of 5 years’ experience working as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environmentValid Millwright Certificate 433A – This is a mustDual License ( not required ) would earn you an additional premiumDiploma from an accredited educational institution in a related mechanical fieldThorough knowledge of all applicable safety legislationProficient at troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and servicing all plant equipment in a timely mannerStrong problem solving, planning and organizational skillsStrong mathematical aptitudeAbility to work in a team environment
