My computer has accompanied me for seven years and I like it so much. Recently it runs more and more slowly. Sometimes it freezes when I open Microsoft word. It is really annoying, but I dont want to buy a new computer. I think it is only because my computer is only a little old. I began to find solutions about how to speed up slow running computer. I think there should be much information about this kind of problems. I searched for the relevant information about the causes which lead to a slow computer. There are too many causes. For example, 1. There are too many junk files. 2. There are too many startup programs. 3. There is too much useless information in the computer registry. 4. There may be viruses, Trojans, malware and spyware. 5. There are too many icons on the desktop. 6. There are too many unnecessary fonts. 7. Some programs cant be deleted completely. There are too many causes to mention. I search for some solutions for these problems. For the junk files, the recycle bin should be emptied in time and the memory can be spared as much as possible. Open Internet Explorer on desktop -> Properties -> Delete Cookies -> Delete Files (Delete all offline files) ->Clear History. For the too many startup programs problem, click Start -> Run -> enter msconfig, disable the unimportant options, the options related to antivirus software are often reserved. I know the registry is so important for a computer, so I dont want to do any change to it. I want to keep it in safe conditions and at the same time, the empty keys can be deleted immediately. Then I looked for the relevant helpful tool. Registry came into my sight. It is one of the registry cleaners which not only can clean the junk files in the system, but also can delete the empty keys in the registry. The best point is that it can do a backup for the registry before deleting some items. I know I can restore my computer to the previous normal working status in case there is anything wrong about my computer. As I expect, my computer turned out to be much faster now.
