You Are Who You Are..When I first started blogging with the aim of driving traffic to a blog which, quite frankly was never really going to go anywhere, partly because I was not consistent enough, I was always trying to be someone else..So what exactly do I mean by this? Well the company I was an affiliate of at the time, was churning out so many six figure earners, plus some 7 figure earners, who I very closely followed. Like a sheep, I just followed their every word. The good thing was that I was learning new skills and I was developing my knowledge of the online marketing industry, however it came with a massive sacrifice which later created problems for me.The truth is, I began to turn into mini versions of the people I was following. The way I wrote started to become all too familiar to work I was reading, even the way I set out my pages was becoming just a copy. It got to a point where everything I was doing, was pretty much a carbon copy of other peoples work. Now besides Google getting the hump with my site, I also began to start plagiarizing other peoples work, further ruining my ranking on Google which was not great as it was!So my first warning that I am going to give, is to avoid this massive pitfall, because once you start doing it, its hard to stop because your subconscious has already been re programmed. When you write, just be yourself, don't try to sound or look like anyone else, your most powerful tool when your blogging, making videos and creating content, is your brand and you can't develop it if your being someone else.So What Is Everyone Else Doing?Now before I go into this don't get me wrong, I learn from the best people I can on how to market my business, but do yourself a favor.. do the complete opposite of everyone else!Always take what you can from people, learn it, mold it, make it your own and then think of how you can apply it, whilst staying completely and utterly unique. There are so many people out there that have the same opinions, follow the rules and act like sheep when they are marketing. Where are these people? I'll tell you where, they are too busy trying things that other unsuccessful people have tried. Arnold Schwarzenegger once said "There are so many rules in life, don't break the law but break the rules", you have to think outside the box. If everyone else is chirping "be a millionaire online in 10 days" or whatever Rubbish is floating around at the moment, you can be damn sure that you won't be heard above the masses if you don't come up with something very different. Hell, you could even try something like "Don't click on this if your scared of success" or something along those lines. The point is that it is the complete opposite and with all the AD blindness created by the same marketing messages, you have more chance of standing out with something unorthodox like that.There's a reason so few people make a 6 figure income online, they don't know how to be different. You may have noticed by now that I do like a curse word now and again, but its just the passion I have for what I am creating. I am not going to come over to you like a robot, its rubbish and you just wouldn't listen. If I come across with my own personality, I think that if you can relate to me in some way or another, your'e going to listen (well hopefully). Try to connect with your audience on a personal level, by doing what we all do best, being ourselves.
