It didn't matter what season it was, the whole show - dancing, judges and contestants, had grown tiresome. The entire time Chloris Leachman was on, I refused to watch a second of it. But then along came Gilles Marini, Lil Kim, Ty Murray, Melissa Rycroft, The Woz, Julianne's boyfriend, Chuck Wicks, Denise Richards, Shawn Johnson, and a few others that really didn't interest me.Despite that dreadful lineup, there was an individual that did make it all worthwhile. I couldn't wait to see the outstanding dancing of Frenchman Gilles Marini. I discovered Gilles when I saw Sex and the City where he stood out among a cast of talented actors and actresses. Just like in Sex and the City, he proved to be the best entertainment on Dancing with the Stars. He turns the heat up in the ballroom when he dances. One of Dancing's judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, let slip what a lot of us were thinking - Carole, Gilles Marini's wife, one was lucky lady. Just like her short lived show on E! Network, Denise Richards proved to be equally dull and talentless on Dancing with the Stars The Woz had the personality, but no talent. While Chuck Wicks put in 110% and stayed on the show week after week. I didn't really like Lil' Kim until I saw her dance so amazingly well. Derek Huff did wonders with his choreography and inspiration. They were a team that showed talent as well as chemistry. That's why I was very surprised when Lil' Kim was knocked out of competition with four other couples still alive.So who did make it to the last couple of shows? It looks like it's going to be Ty and Chelsie, Gilles and Cheryl, Melissa and Tony, and Shawn and Mark. Melissa came in shortly before the show when Jewel was injured. She showed immediately that she had ballet training. Her dancing has been almost flawless, earning her a set of perfect scores on the last show. But perfect scores don't always mean you won't be voted off. (Just ask Sabrina Bryan, who was eliminated early in another season after receiving a perfect score.) Rodeo champion Ty Murry has worked on his dancing the most and it shows. He happens to be very adorable too. Ty's experience riding bulls and guiding horses doesn't translate directly to the dance floor and provided a big cache of voting fans who normally wouldn't watch Dancing with the Stars. Shawn Johnson's Olympic performance was so endearing, and her dancing is the same. And rounding this amazing cast of celebrities is Gilles Marini who didn't make a move I didn't absolutely love.Who will bring home the trophy? Another couple goes home this week. And on the final episode the three remaining couples will compete in winner take all competition. You can guarantee where I'll be that night!Hopefully you can watch Dancing in HD like I can - it really does make a difference.
