When I was a child my grandfather had played the violin. His workwas with big orchestra. He played there for about 30 years. The goodpart is that from time to time he would play at home for me, and Ireally enjoyed it. Nope. I becamefrustrated very quickly. This time I had to understand everything myself. The book is just a book after all. It does not show you how toplay at all. My brain refused to understand the concepts. It just feltwrong. I couldnt read the music. I just gave up again. Sound familiaryet? I really believe this is true! The violing was not forme. I had to tell myself that it is simply impossible to learn and thatI just don't have a gift for it. I was so wrong, and the time had to goby for me to understand it. I had all but lack of hope of soundinganywhere near the way my granddad did on the violin. Obviously I was aperson that was hard to teach any traditional way. I had failure afterfailure every time I have tried. But just a short time ago I have a newexciting way to learn how to play the violin. This was a true freedom. I did nothave to read the book with a hope to understand any of the advancedlanguage, only a few could actually get.
