For several years I had been the kind of person who has no troubleat all singing along to the car radio at full volume while driving downthe road. I also thought I had a rather fine voice in the shower.Things changed, however, when some buddies of mine in a band called meup onstage to sing one of the tunes which I liked. I went on the stageand I suppose I did alright. The very next day, however, I became thebutt of jokes. Pals had a laugh at my expense about how I sang. One paleven told me he would give me money to NOT sing ever again. That day, Ilost what little confidence I had in my singing abilities, and that waswhen I made the decision to give Singorama a shot.Before Ipurchased it, I did some research and discovered that there areactually numerous vocal coaching software programs online for folkslike me people who just love to sing but who have no real training. Afew of these software programs are taught by qualified vocal mentors,who if they were teaching in person would charge several hundreddollars per hour. So, irrespective of what program I chose, I figuredthat I would be getting a pretty decent deal.I found myselfchoosing Singorama for a couple of reasons, the first of which was thatI went through the reviews and they were all good. Everyone who hadexperimented with the product had only glowing things to say about it.I also found out that it comes with 28 interactive audio lessons, andthat you do more than just listen silently to the expert you singalong with them. This was definitely a good thing in my books!Whatreally sold me on the program, however, was its presentation. I am avisual learner, I appreciated the two books that came along with it.Sometimes you need to just see something in order to process theinformation, and with Singorama, that was possible.There mightbe a few other applications out there that have a much larger followingor that are taught by big names, but the thing that eventually sold meon Singorama was the fact that it came with its own recording studio.Thats right the program itself has a mini recording studio as partof the package. In a short span, I had it all loaded up on my computerand I was able to not only take lessons, but put my learning to workimmediately by recording my voice.A different plus about theprogram is that it is quite a comprehensive resource for would-besingers. Aside from covering everything I had to know about improvingmy pitch and my rage, it also looks at issues I never even thought toask about. For example, there is a module that talks about writingsongs. An additional module discusses singing with a band. There wasalso a class on acing auditions. I don't harbor plans to singcommercially or professionally, but I like that Singorama covered thesesubjects in any case. It shows just howeffective the coachingapplication is.An additional characteristic that I liked was thegame that came with the program. The game is called Perfect Your PitchPro. It was made to train my ear to identify the 36 notes on achromatic scale. That sounded like a boring lesson to learn but, trustme, it was anything but boring. I had and so much fun playing I forgotI was in it for my vocal cords, not for fun!Now, I won't bedishonest with you and tell you that Singorama has transformed me intothe next Adam Lambert, but I will tell you that the next time I getpulled up on stage, I will be neither ashamed nor afraid. I now have aconfidence in my voice that I never had previously. It is because Ifeel that I am a lot more wiser and knowledgeable. In addition to that,I have been able to record my own voice and listen to it repeatedly. Inow know what I sound like and it's quite good!I would highlyrecommend this inexpensive program to anyone who wants to improve theirvocal skills and is also interested in doing several affordable andvery easy home recording on their computer.
