Gregory Popovich grew up in the fast paced world of the Russian circus. His parents were both performing regularly and Gregory quickly took a liking to the lifestyle he had grown up with. In addition to being performers, his parents were also dog trainers. This early interaction with animals developed into a very strong bond that Gregory carried with him throughout his childhood. He began to share the stage with his parents and their animals and eventually learned the art of juggling. At age 17 he was accepted into the the Moscow Circus Group after juggling on top of a freestanding ladder.After being the first Russian artist to ever be invited to appear with the world famous Ringling Brothers Barnum + Bailey Circus, Gregory found himself in the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas. It was here where a friend of his suggested that he go visit the local animal shelters to try and find an animal to put into his new act. It was here that his love for animals took on an entirely new meaning. He wanted to set these loving animals free. After adopting and training several cats, Gregory went on tour with his new act, "Cat Skills". With this show, Gregory became an international superstar performing all over the world. As his show grew, so did his cast of furry characters. In 2005 Gregory returned to Las Vegas and began work on what is now, "Popovich Comedy Pet Theater". A show featuring over 25 different furry co-stars, all rescued from shelters.
