It's hard to say for sure, but from what I can tell, most dogs aren't very picky about where they sleep. Dog beds of all sorts seem to serve them well enough. We yell at our dogs to shut up. We kick them out of the house for random reasons that they can't understand. We feed them the same boring thing day in and day out. We pen them up in yards and kennels. We don't play with them 24 hours a day like they want us to, and we demand that they do what we say, when we say it. When they don't, they get in trouble. So, it makes sense that we would want to do something nice for our four-legged friends.
