I think I have hit one more sensitive area that most of the mothers are bothered with.Why my child is so messy?(Poor fathers if they are not with the child with open eyes are missing these smallgolden nuggets of learning about life). And the next question is why in spite of telling hundreds of times they do not listen?Let me share what I realised watching my child creating mess.Want to make a guess by your on self. OK take 5 minute vacation now and just think why?why?why?why? Mostly you will come up with valid answers.....I most of the times start watching him whenever he is doing something that isdisagreeable to my adult eyes.And then I ask myself a question when nobody has taught him (the child) and hisintelligence which is there with him (gender neutral) by default as a god given gift, then there must be some reason to whatever he is doing which is most probably not understood by me.And whenever I go on these lines the answer pops as an insight!I was watching and not interfering. He was very busy spreading all the variety of his treasured collection. He was setting up a TRAIN.Train actually was the floor space available to him. His treasured items are not to be named. pebbles, ribbons, beads, crayons, puppets, pens, pillows and anything.In our house there is a storage place for all these items and the adult in me was telling me to keep the pens in boxes and the crayons in the box in short let the place be neat and tidy. When I attempted to do that my child vehemently refused and wanted everything to be displayed and visible.His game was he was filling up the floor space with all the items that he wasremembering. So one by one he was setting up his train and very enthusiastically showing me what he was doing. He was thoughtful and as said earlieroccupied. HE WAS CREATING.I was curbing my temptation to guide him, suggest him and teach him the so called right way.This went on for quite sometime and then he was almost done with the set up and he wanted me to sit down there on the floor in his train and thats it. He wanted me to spend time with him in his train and listen to his verbal and non verbal communication that he was doing! Hooooooo!This was all much simpler than the usual seen that we all encounter. Isnt it?You know the usual seen. You have to know. I am dam sure.The baby was very happy, eager to share his thoughts, open, ready to teach, in short everything that we want him to be.The insights- They want to TOUCH, HEAR, SMELL, TASTE, SEE and the object inconsideration needs to be within the range of their 5 valuable senses.- They know inherently something that we all have forgotten.- They are masters and like to be in charge- They like to apply- They like to lead- They think themselves at par with you and me- They are happy ,non demanding, loving and cooperative- They are great inventors- They think out of bracket- They are learning all the while- They can be a great help for us to help LIVE life and stop being in the past orfuture......
