Any repetitive activity such as cross training machines, stair climbers, bicycles or treadmills do not provide the progressive resistance necessary to develop meaningful strength and an increase in metabolism that strength training can.When you are doing activities like walking or jogging, your muscles work repetitively against minimal to zero resistance.
