However, every case is different. It is important to work wi Bankruptcy is a situation, wherein an individual is termed as unable to discharge all the debts. When a person or a company is not able to pay off its creditors, it has an obligation to file a bankruptcy suit. In fact, a bankruptcy suit is a

Strict new laws are causing individuals to be fearful and wonder if they should contact an immigration lawyer. Many states are adopting legislation that exceeds what the federal laws allow. Arizona, Georgia and Alabama are three examples of states who have taken matters into their own hands. Some of the tactics seem unfair to many people and there have been lawsuits concerning their constitutionality. Many people have fled these regions due to fear and intimidation tactics. Here are some things to think about:-Judge upheld provision: In Alabama's case, the federal government sued to overturn some strict new laws. A judge who presided over the case upheld several parts of the law, deeming them constitutional. There were parts, however, that she struck out such as one that could punish a person who was supposedly harboring illegal aliens. She said that it was constitutional for the police to detain individuals when they have "reasonable suspicion" that suspects are in the U.S. illegally.-Recent ruling contradictory: The recent Alabama rulings contradict some of the lawsuits that have occurred in Arizona. This means that the courtroom battles will continue as some push for strictness and others declare these actions as inappropriate and unconstitutional.-Confusion due to all the changes: Many employers and citizens are extremely confused by what they need or don't need to do when hiring employees. There are I'9s and E-Verification but with all the changes, many are confused and no one wants to get into trouble by doing the wrong thing.-Harassment of citizens: One problem that many citizens are complaining about is that even documented individuals will be harassed simply because they have dark complexions. When a police officer has "reason to suspect," what exactly does that mean? Just because a person looks like he or she has Mexican heritage, it is questionable about whether this makes it acceptable to ask for proof of citizenship.-Financial fears: One of the reasons why these laws are being drawn up is due to the unsavory economy. Lawmakers in Arizona, for example, argue that undocumented children are being educated at the expense of the American taxpayers. Another argument is that a lack of jobs has to do with positions being taken away by Mexican workers. Studies have shown that this isn't true but the legislation continues to hit the books. When a state such as Arizona is in such dire financial straits, lawmakers are willing to try anything and everything.-Individuals are fleeing: In states with these newly drafted laws, many Hispanic individuals are fleeing. This is causing classrooms to become empty, teachers to lose jobs, apartment complexes to have widespread vacancies and various programs such as Head Start to lose funding. Many educational programs are funded based on head count.Foreign born individuals who are afraid of harassment or have other questions regarding their visas, green cards or citizenship status should contact an immigration lawyer. Being afraid and always watching out over one's shoulder is not a pleasant way to live. These are tough times for immigrants and employers; legal guidance will set many minds at ease or pave the way for resolutions. Article Tags: Immigration Lawyer
