In this article, we offer staff at trade show stands personal tips for surviving those long hours working at an exhibit. It's a subject that is sometimes neglected but still very important. While some insist on ties for men and skirts or dresses and heels for women, we don't recommend it.Take BreaksFrom time to time, you need to step away from the booth to take restroom breaks and to clear your head. You might find yourself repeating the same things over and over again to each new person that stops by. It's also possible that you will experience lulls where things get boring. Whether you are tired or bored to tears, visitors will notice. Breaks can help you recharge and refresh.Bring A Survival KitFrom cuts and bruises to headaches, there are plenty of good reasons to bring a survival kit with you to your booth. Your kit should include aspirin or another pain reliever, bandages, eye drops, mints or gum, and possibly allergy medicine and safety pins.As you gain experience working at trade show booths, you will learn what things to bring with you that can help you survive the day more comfortably and confidently. Take notes throughout the day and keep track of those things you wish you had with you but didn't think to bring along.
