A good, well-written brochure is a fabulous promotional tool andcan be a vital part of any company’s marketing arsenal. But how do you write a brochure? How do you make surethat the words you use actually fit the purpose they are intended for, which isto sell your business? As a leading UK copywriter, I have written manybrochures over the years and here are my top three tips for successfullywriting a brochure.  Make sureimages and copy work together  A brochure is a very visual piece of literature, asopposed to say a press release or even a sales letter, which are more copy-centric.Therefore, there will be plenty of pictures throughout designed to sell theproduct or service in question. The copy you write needs to link in nicely withthese images and complement them, rather than appearing to be at crosspurposes. This means that both writer and designer need to work closelytogether to ensure that these two facets of a brochure work together properly.  Keep itshort and simple  You are not writing a sequel to War and Peace, so keepthe copy simple and focused and don’t bore your audience – a brochure is thereto drive interest in your business and encourage prospects to pick up the phoneor send an email to find out more.   Don’t forgetto sell A brochure is a piece of marketing literature so makesure it actually markets your business! That means that the copy needs to gofurther than just describing what you do and actually tells the prospectivecustomer what you can do for them – how your company can help them and why youare better than anyone else. If you don’t do that, you are missing a goldenopportunity and in sales terms your brochure isn’t worth the paper it isprinted on. Put all these tips together and you are well on theway to writing a brochure that boosts both profile and sales alike! st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable{mso-style-name:"Table Normal";mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0;mso-tstyle-colband-size:0;mso-style-noshow:yes;mso-style-parent:"";mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt;mso-para-margin:0cm;mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt;mso-pagination:widow-orphan;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-ansi-language:#0400;mso-fareast-language:#0400;mso-bidi-language:#0400;}
