Day 1: Delhi - Corbett (280 kms / 8 hrs) Check into hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure. Rest of the evening free to relax. Overnight at the hotel.Corbett Wildlife National Park: Set up in 1936 as India's first wildlife national park and possibly the finest, the Corbett National Park was established in consultation with the great hunter and conservationist, Jim Corbett. The wildlife park spreads over some 920.9 square km at an altitude of 600 to 1100 metres at the foothills of western Himalayas in the districts of Nainital and Pauri Garhwal. In its eventful 64-year life, it has grown considerably in size and now includes the Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary as a part of its 1,319 sq km of reserved forest area.Day 2: At CorbettMorning and afternoon you may considering taking an option trip to visit the National park by jeep or its surroundings arranged directly with the hotel on direct payment.Overnight at the hotel.Day 3: Corbett - Ranikhet (72 kms / 2 hrs)Morning after breakfast at the hotel drive to reach Ranikhet – Set in the midst of dense pine forests in the Kumaon Hills of Uttaranchal is the sylvan cantonment town of Ranikhet. Set at a height of 1,829 meters, Ranikhet has an old world charm with graceful churches and sprawling colonial bungalows fronted by flower-bedecked gardens. The town is spread over a series of ridges and pretty, tree lined paths wind into the surrounding alpine forests from where leopards make occasional appearances. In spite of being one of the most beautiful hill resorts in the Kumaon region, Ranikhet still retains its laidback, unblemished charm and is not spilling over with visitors. As in other colonial hill resorts, town life centres on The Mall. Day 4: At RanikhetFull day tour to visit - The ridge tops of Ranikhet are vantage points for panoramic vistas of Himalayan peaks. From the luxuriant fruit orchards of Chaubatia, 10 km beyond the Mall, you can get a sweeping view of the Himalayas, especially the peaks of Nanda Devi, Trisul, Nanda Ghunti and Neelkanth.. The fabled Jhula Devi temple dedicated to Goddess Shakti and an ancient shrine dedicated to Rama lie on the outskirts of town. Bhaludam has an artificial lake that is a picturesque picnic spot. Other places you should see are the lush orchards and herbarium of Kherna, the complex of 55 ancient hill temples of Dwarahat, and the shrine of Durga at Dunagiri.Day 5: Ranikhet to Nainital Nainital is a lovely hill-station surrounded by mountains on three sides. Once this area had many lakes and it was called the 'city of 60 lakes' or 'Chakta', though most have disappeared now. Today, the life of Nainital revolves around the lake of Naini. But there are few other lakes around Nainital which are equally beautiful and attractive as the Naini lake. The gorgeous greens and the majestic mountains add to the beauty of the hill resort. The small town of Nainital in Uttaranchal is dotted with cottages, villas and bungalows. Situated at an altitude of 1,938 meters the hill resort of Nainital offers several places of interest to the tourists.The population size of Nanital xis 30,951. Maximum temperature in summer is 26.7 degree Celsius and minimum is 10.6 degree, while in winter maximum is 15.6 degree and minimum can plunge to 2.8 degree. It's receives an annual average rainfall of 2,794 mm. March to June and mid-September to end of October is the best season to visit Nainital. Light woolens or cottons in summer and heavy woolen in winter are suggested. Hindi, English and Kumaoni are the chief languages that are spoken. The town is set around Naini lake (tal) and hence the name. Today Nainital is the summer residence of the governor of Uttar-Pradesh. Most of the better hotels are at the northern end of the lake, known as Mallital. Day 6: Nainital After breakfast, full day tour to visit Nainital and surroundings. Snow ViewThis popular vantage point offers an excellent view of the northern Himalayan ranges. The point is accessible by a chair lift (ropeway) or you can hire horses and mountain ponies to reach there. One can also have a close up view of Nanda Devi, one of the highest peaks in the country. Naini Peak - Five kilometres from the lake lies the Naina Peak. It is the highest peak bordering the lake. A popular picnic spot, the peak offers a panoramic view of the resort and a stunning view of the Himalayas including Nanda Devi and the mountains on the Tibetan border, Dorothy's Seat - Four kilometres to the west of the lake lies Dorothy's seat, also known as Tiffin Top. It was built by an Englishman named Kellet in the memory of his wife, who was killed in an air crash. The spot offers a partial view of Nainital, Land's End - Located on the southern border of the lake, and standing 2,881 metres high, this hill offers a view of another lake, Khurpa Tal, Hanuman Garhi - Three kilometres south of Tallital lies Hanuman Garhi, where there is a small temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
