Aussois is settled in the Maurienne Valley found in the Savoie department of the Rhone-Alpes region in south-eastern France. The resort is 7 kilometres from Modane and is considered as the gateway to the Vanoise National Park. Direct access is available to the city if you use TVG Paris Modane railway. The trip would last for about 4 hours by train.
