There is many wonderful places in the world, one of the most amazing places in South East Asia is in Thailand, Khao Sok.Khao Sok is in Southern Thailand in a province call Surat Thani, it is not so far from some of the other popular destination in southern Thailand Krabi, Phuket and Koh Samui.Khao Sok is home to the most diverse rain forest in the world, yes even more than the Amazon rain forest. The different species on plant life, mammals and birds make it a paradise for those who enjoy the jugle and being with nature. Khao sok has some amazing limestone caves and you can even go diving and will see a vast range of marine life around. Khao Sok also is home to the Rafflesia plant which blooms once a year and is a real treat to plant lover. To get to this wonderful destination their is a few waysto get there. As most international travelers fly into Thailand, the first stop is to Bangkok, probably the best idea as you can do some cheap shopping at the beginning or end of your trip. Once you get to Bangkok you can fly to either Phuket or Surat Thani airport, from Phuket you can get a private car that will take you there for about 3000 baht or a minivan which will charge you about the same as well. The trip will take a few hours to get their depending on the traffic. From SUrat Thani it is closer but its not always easy to get a flight their, but if you do happen to get there, you can get a taxi or minivan that will cost about 2000 to 2500 baht for the trip.So next time you're in South East Asia and want a real jungle experience in a real rain forest, give Khao Sok a visit.
