No trip through Rosalie is complete without a stop at Freestyle Tout, the dessert-only restaurant.The Castlemaine Perkins XXXX Brewery has been at it's Milton location sicne 1878 and is quite the Queensland icon. Not to mention the superb XXXX beer, it is an icon that stands alone. Those living nearby are used to the pungent smells of the brewery as it fills the nearby air. Beer lovers will certainly enjoy a tour of this brewery. The tour lasts just over an hour and appointments are recommended. This tour is concluded with a deluxe sampling of the very beer that is made on site, in the Ale House Bar.Queenslanders line the streets of the inner city suburb of Paddington, many of which have been carefully restored. Here you could easily spend an entire day shopping, browsing and eating. One end of Paddington, known as Petrie Terrace has excellent restaurants and antique shops. Paddington Tavern offers lovely city views. Many of Brisbane's oldest buildings are located here in Paddington, on the main commercial strips; Given Terrace and Latrobe Terrace.
