Some of the annual events that you can expect to find when you visit Calgary include the following: GIRAFThis is the Giant Incandescent Resonating Animation Festival and is held every year at the Quickdraw Animation Society in Calgary. The $100 Film FestivalDuring the first week of April at Plaza Theater, there is the annual $100 film festival. If you want to talk low budget, you do not get much lower budget than this annual film festival that celebrates not only independent film makers but those who get very creative to keep their film under the $100 budget. This is a free event and is open to everyone. Mosaic Culture FestivalThe Mosaic Culture Festival takes place the second weekend of July at Central Memorial Park in Calgary and celebrates cultural diversity in Calgary. There are vendors and performers that feature dancing and music from all over the world. Calgary is a very diverse city and the Mosaic Culture Festival allows everyone to see how all of the cultures, coming together, can blend for one.
