Like any American, traveling occasionally is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chile’s national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. It is also among the most important, receiving a significant proportion of domes

The likelihood is that regardless of who it was, the date would probably have been soon after World War 2. Once hostilities were over, people who could not afford to stay in a hotel or guesthouse or simply didn’t like the associated regimentation started to stay in caravans. As car ownership began to grow, more and more people could access remote areas and either stay in their own caravan or rent one that was already in situ.By and large, almost all these caravan sites were owned by farmers and usually they were on farmland located very close to the sea. Once the holiday camp pioneers like Billy Butlin and Fred Pontin started to provide inexpensive chalet-type accommodation in seaside resorts, it was a natural progression for farmers to provide these as an option to staying in a caravan. They were either purpose built or converted from redundant farm outbuildings. Most of this expansion occurred during the 1950s and 1960s before the cheap packaged foreign holiday boom started to gain traction. Those were the days when the National Trust was still in its infancy and planning restrictions in areas of natural beauty were much more relaxed than they are today. This is why so many prime seaside sites are to this day occupied by long established holiday parks. The luckiest farmers of all were those whose land abutted some of the finest beaches in the South of England during the Second World War. These areas were considered to be at very high risk in the event of a German invasion and the government usually built barracks just behind these beaches complete with mains water and electricity. After the war, ownership of these single story buildings reverted to individual landowners and many were easily and cheaply converted to holiday chalets which were ideally situated so close to the beach.Nowadays, people can find well- appointed farm accommodation all over the country and not just close to the sea. Farm holidays are seen as an additional option to overseas breaks and are especially popular with city based families who like to experience life on a working farm. Many farmhouses are no longer owned by farmers themselves and have been bought specifically to be converted into smart boutique holiday accommodation by owners who rent out the actual agricultural land to large-scale farmers and just concentrate on satisfying the requirements of their holiday clients.
