The,Geothermal,Wonders,Rotorua travel, insurance The Geothermal Wonders of Rotorua, New Zealand

Like any American, traveling occasionally is just what I love doing and I bet you share the same stuff with me. But traveling does not mean that you would be safe. Escaping from our job and other stressful activities is just something that w Torres del Paine is among the biggest of Chile’s national parks, occupying almost 600,000 acres (242,000 ha) of land in the south on the border with Argentina. It is also among the most important, receiving a significant proportion of domes

The Rotorua region of New Zealand offers unique attractions showing off the geothermal wonders that living on the Pacific Rim of Fire can produce with geysers and bubbling mud pools that have been attracting tourists since the early 1800s. Situated on the North Island of New Zealand, 230 km to the southeast of Auckland, it has 17 lakes and a deep history with the Maori who have close ties with this spectacular land. It is one of the best places in the country for a Maori cultural lesson, as the legend of how Rotorua came to be is a legendary tale and is why the Maori were happy to share the wonders of their sacred place with the European visitors who first came here. Rotorua is mostly about outdoor activities with several thermal areas, beautifully clear lakes, and the Waikato River along with other natural attractions that are worth a visit. The Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is one of the best geothermal parks to check out with natural shows like the Champagne Pool or the Lady Knox Geyser which erupts daily at 10:15 promptly. Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve is a great place to learn how the Maori have come to live in peace with their consistently changing environment while performing beautiful songs and dances. Hell's Gate is another geothermal park which highlights the only hot waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere along with relaxing mud bath spas. Even without the geothermal areas to boast, the area still has some nice lakes, excellent opportunities for mountain biking, white water rafting, and gardens to enjoy among other things. Whakarewarewa Forest has been described in such terms as the Disneyland of mountain biking, and it offers some of the best trails in New Zealand where the UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championship was held in 2006. Government Gardens has a lovely Mediterranean style public swimming pool with an elaborate Tudor style bath house and a museum dedicated to the interesting history of these healing waters. Head to Kaituna River for a unique white water rafting experience, with the world's highest commercially raft-able waterfall dropping you 7 meters down into the mist. There is also a bunch of other adventure related activities here like zorbing, sprint boating, the Schweeb (human powered monorail), bungy jumping, and forest canopy tours. For some more relaxing adventures, there is also plenty on offer in Rotorua. Rotorua Museum exhibits the history of the Te Arawa people who first discovered these sacred lands, along with national and international art exhibits to enjoy. Rainbow Springs offers a chance to see kiwi, tuatara, and has a big splash water ride for those who are seeking more of a thrill. Paradise Valley Springs is a wildlife park with native animals such as kea birds, trout, and even a pride of African lions. Rotorua golf club is an 18 hole thermal golf course with boiling mud pools and spectacular natural surroundings. Te Puia is an arts and crafts institute where one can learn about weaving and carving from Maori masters who have preserved their traditions through these traditional activities. Mokoia Island offers a unique way to learn about the love story which is deeply enshrined in Maori history in this area while enjoying this protected wildlife sanctuary. Rotorua is a sacred place for the Maori and has been for centuries. With its healing geothermal waters, bubbling mud pools, and fantastic natural surroundings it is a mystical place that will leave visitors relaxed, ready for more adventures around New Zealand. The geothermal areas are internationally renowned and the hospitality of the locals is heart warming. So be sure to put Rotorua on your itinerary when visiting New Zealand as it is surely one of the most unique destinations in the country and one of the most interesting places in the world.
