In fact, if you want to tour the floor of the Grand Canyon, the only place you can get the by chopper is on the West Rim. The floor of the canyon is amazing; you can even ride a pontoon boat down the Colorado River if you want some relaxing fun. To get to the canyon, they have to cross ten miles of dirt road, so the buses have to be sturdy and comfortable at the same time. Some people think they'd rather drive their own car or a rental vehicle, but I urge you not to do this. The buses are much more comfortable and are specially designed for sightseeing. Even better, your bus driver will double as an enjoyable and informative tour guide. They do a fantastic job of pointing out the sights and explaining the history and geology of the region.
