Youre getting close to that time of the year, the time whenyou go on a well deserved vacation. The only problem is deciding where to go.It doesnt matter what part of the world you live in, there is always aplethora of options for vacation time. I feel you really couldnt go wrong withany of the options laid out before you. But there is one place in particularthat has been close to my heart that I want to tell you about YosemiteNational Park.Yosemite National Park is a place whose beauty has inspiredmany great men/women like John Muir and continues to do so with each passinggeneration. Its natural beauty is near unparalleled and hard to put into merewords. Its a national treasure and a place that is certain to become more thana mere vacation destination in your heart. There is truthfully no limit of what you can do and what youcan see in Yosemite National Park but I will do my best to compress it for thisarticle. For starters there are three areas that you can inside of the parkitself; Yosemite Village, Curry Village and the Ahwahnee Hotel. Keep in mindthat while you can drive around Yosemite you can also takes buses that gothrough all of Yosemite and drop you off at the main destinations. Yosemite Village tends to cater more towards the adultsalthough children and families are always welcome. Inside Yosemite Villagethere is a bike rental shop, a general store where you can purchase simplesupplies and food, a few restaurant options, shopping, a bus stop, an outdoortheater, a hotel and the base of Yosemite Falls is in walking distance. You cantgo wrong with any of the restaurants in all of Yosemite but one of my favoritesin Yosemite Village is a place called Degnans Loft. They serve excellentpizza, pasta, salads and a assortment of appetizers, the prices arent badeither. Curry Village is dedicated more towards the families andkids. It is slightly less expensive than Yosemite Village which makes it idealfor large families or a group of young adults. The lodging options for CurryVillage include cabins and tents. Curry Village has a general store, a postoffice, and great dining options. There isnt as much offered as YosemiteVillage has but that doesnt make it any less special. The Pizza Deck is mydining recommendation for Curry Village and the Curry Village Pavilion offers avast assortment of breakfast options each morning. The Ahwahnee Hotel has everything you need right inside thehotel itself. There is a breathtaking dining hall where all the meals takeplace. The dining hall is just beyond words, even if you dont stay at theAhwahnee Hotel you need to do yourself a favor and have at least one meal inthe dining hall. Remember if you chose to have dinner there formal attire isrequired. The hotel also sports a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, hikingpaths, indoor shopping, the grand lounge, and a game area. If you dont want tostay in the hotel itself the Ahwahnee offers outdoor cabins that are equally beautiful.Remember that whatever part of Yosemite you decide to stay inyou can easily visit the other areas in a few minutes time. The park itself isa nature lovers dream. There are a number of trails to chose from, a horseriding stable, water rafting, snowboarding, bike rentals, waterfalls to view,and rocks to climb. Before you embark on any of these options you should knowwhat your skill level is, the last thing you want to do is ruin your vacationby getting hurt. No matter what option you chose youre sure to enjoy yourself.As far as hiking trails go here are my recommendations; The Mist Trail, Lower& Upper Yosemite Falls, Mirror Lake, Inspiration Point, and BridalveilFalls. You cant choose wrong these are simply my favorite hikes from over theyears. There is something for everyone to do and enjoy at Yosemite.It doesnt matter if youre a young child or an elder person. Yosemite is goingto brighten up your spirits and change your life forever. That may soundextreme to say about a vacation but its not. Once you go you will see howspecial Yosemite is and why it truly is a life changing experience.
