The Deep Sea World aquarium in Edinburgh, Scotland, is perhaps the best marine facility that I have come across in years. It is an activity that is enjoyable for people of all ages, children to seniors. On our most recent stay at a Hotel breaks Scotland we decided that we would take the opportunity to explore something that our family had never done in the past. We had already been to Edinburgh Castle, as well as a few other attractions around the city, and we were beginning to feel the information overload that tends to occur as a result. Therefore, we thought we would take a more interactive approach to education. Deep Sea World provided us with such an experience, and it was a relatively inexpensive way to spend an afternoon.The facility has marine life from all corners of the globe, while housing Europe's largest collection of sand tiger sharks. To be honest, I had never heard of a sand tiger shark, let alone seen one face to face. They are such an amazing creature. I could not remove myself from watching them swim around the large tanks that Deep Sea World had, as they seemed so graceful and carefree, while curious of those that were watching them. All in all, I would strongly suggest that one visits this amazing facility if you ever end up in Scotland. It is one of the most interactive forms of education that I have come across.We returned to our Short breaks Scotland hotel with grins on our faces, as if we had just conquered the sea. Moreover, my children could not stop recalling certain marine life that they had observed while at Deep Sea World which produced a warm feeling deep inside of me. Hopefully the next hotel we stay at, the Scotland country hotel, has similar recommendations for us. I am glad that they enjoyed themselves as much as I did.
