Athens offers everything you would hope for when it comes to travelling with children and this guide can help you plan your visits.SYNTAGMA SQUARE AND THE HELLENICEvery Sunday at Syntagma Square and the Parliament you can watch the ceremonial and grand parade of the Evzones dressed in their traditional white kilts (or Foustanella). They march to the Hellenic Parliament with a marching band, for the changing of the guards. The Evzones are members of the Presidential Guards. They stay completely still next to the tomb of the Unknown Soldier until the moment they can move for the change of the guards. The ceremonial starts at 11am. All roads are closed off and people fill the streets. It usually lasts about 30 minutes.
