Asian countries, like the Philippines, where the English language is one of the countrys official languages, have seen a deteriorating status of the English proficiency of their nationals.The Philippines was not included in the latest survey about the English proficiency status of different countries. However, since Philippines is one of the largest countries in the world, however, the English language capabilities and knowledge of new Filipino teachers nowadays is declining, partly due to the greater number of them needed all the time. When the teaching techniques or the knowledge of teachers are not sufficient to teach the future generation, it would certainly affect the skills of the students. Hence, there would always be a negative effect that may occur and affect the countrys economy and the success of the individual person.However, even though the Philippines is facing an education crisis in teaching the English language, many foreign students are investing their knowledge in order to learn the English language in the Philippines. Learning English in the Philippines is a lot cheaper than any other countries whose official language is English. However, even if English is one of the major languages of the country, this doesnt entirely mean that Filipinos are knowledgeable enough to teach other people.It is true that there are professional Filipinos that are capable of teaching English, however, they are generally not available for teaching in the Philippines, because they usually work abroad.
