Throughout India, there are schools which admit thousands of students, who go on to become graduates and post graduates after passing out from these affiliated schools. In recent years, as a makeover in the education system, grading system was introduced in the 10th standard, which has lowered the rush for securing top marks. Now, the grading system has been taken into account to provide admissions into the higher 12th standard courses. This is but a sign that shows that people higher up in the administration are giving the education system a thought.At the elementary level, the chapter of school education was somewhat getting sidetracked. People from poorer backgrounds were not able to send their wards to the schools in the cities, and thereby their education was getting affected. Sarva Sikshya Abhiyan has been a strong step towards making elementary education available for all the students, especially empowering the girl child. Although such a system has come into force since a few years now, the implementation has been an issue.
