The Easter Island getaway opportunity of a lifetime has arrived and you are wondering where to lay your head each night. Its an important decision and we feel we have found the top three hotels on the island that are going to meet your needs. Testimonials from past guests are the best way to understand the nature of a hotel. Hotel Iorana is one of our recommended Easter Island hotels. One guest reported that he spent six days at the Iorana with his wife. His room was extremely comfortable with a delightful balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. By the end of his vacation he knew well the manager of the hotel calling her by name. The staff was great, and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the several meals they ate at the hotel restaurant were also delicious. Another guest raved about the newly renovated rooms that were clean and had everything they needed. The shower was great as well as the air conditioning. Hotel O'tai is another one of our recommended Easter Island hotels. One traveller reported that the room was very clean, quiet and roomy. The reception was extremely friendly and helpful with car rentals and lost luggage. The location is the best, within walking distance from the marina, restaurants and especially close to some of the beautiful statues. He said his stay was the highlight of his trip to Chile and definitely recommends this hotel to friends and other travellers. Another guest at the Otai Hotel raved that this was their third stay at this hotel. They mentioned the friendly and warm greetings they received each day from the staff. The rooms are clean and the food is pure Easter Island. They make you feel like family in a way that offers insight into the true local culture of the island. Hotel Altiplanico is the final recommended hotel on Easter Island. One guest stayed at the Altiplanico for five days in January 2010. The cabana was large, clean and very well-designed. They had a view of the ocean whether it was inside or sitting on the front chair. All five nights, this person ate dinner at the hotel restaurant which was gourmet quality. The full dinner consisted of appetizer, main course, vegetable desert and beverage and was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was also delicious lots of fresh fruit, cheese, eggs, and amazing baked goods. Located outside of town where its quieter and more rustic there is a beautiful scenic 25 minute walk to get to the local village. Youll discover a large statue at the end of the road, and then along the coast through the national park area there are even more statues scattered about. You wont find a tv in your room but Easter Island barely gets any channels anyway. Internet connection was excellent. Another guest raved about the effectiveness of the bungalow design at Altiplanico. The whole experience was a delight and the rooms fit right in with its natural surroundings. There was plenty of fresh air and an amazing view. They often caught glimpses of free range wild horses between their cabin and the ocean. These three hotels are all great ways to treat yourself to an amazing experience on Easter Island.
