It takes place June 11-17, 2012 at 50 different venues across the city. Musicians and bands such as The Flaming Lips, Bad Religion, Ghostface Killah, Matthew Good and over 600 others will converge on the city to play for locals and visitors alike. The festival will also screen 40 different films that celebrate music from around the world. Guests can attend any of the shows by purchasing a priority pass for $250, but students can purchase one for $125. Additionally, guests can buy a wristband that will grant them access to all festival events, all events for one day or access to all the film screenings. TD Toronto Jazz FestivalIf jazz music is more your style, consider attending the TD Toronto Jazz Festival, This takes place June 22 through July 1, 2012 and its performers include Natalie Cole, Roberta Gambarini and Roy Hargrove. Performances are priced separately, but there is a discount for visitors who plan on attending three or five concerts. The concerts take place around the city and with so many different ones; visitors might have a hard time choosing just a few. Stratford Shakespeare FestivalNo summer in Toronto is complete without the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, which is happening now through November, 2012. Shakespeare plays include Henry V and Much Ado About Nothing, but it's not only Shakespeare's works that guests will find here. Canada's largest street festival is celebrating its 18th year and takes place August 5-7, 2012.
