The commercial center and boulevard is towards the Southwest from where the Dal Lake opens up in a scenic vista. The other places of interest are the Hazratbal Shrine, Jama Masjid, Sharika Mata Temple on Hari Parbat and Shankaracharya Temple. Srinagar is accessible by air, road and rail.Sonamarg - The Golden MeadowSonmarg is the meadow of gold, a flower carpeted valley in spring set against azure skies and snowy peaks, a place to relax and lose yourself alongside the Sindh River. The small town filled with friendly, helpful people, is full of guest houses, hotels and dining places. A somnolent town, the only place of interest is the main bazaar where tourists on their way to Vaishno Devi can buy dry fruits, woolens and handicraft souvenirs. It is obligatory for pilgrims to register themselves at Katra in order to become eligible for accident insurance.
