The garner HD-2 hard drive degausser isthe newest and most innovative product in the Garner line ofdegaussers. The HD-2 erases hard drives (laptop, desktop and network upto 1" high) and high coercivity tape media, including all formats ofLTO (1,2,3,4), SuperDLT I & II, DLT, AIT, 3590 Series, 8mm andmore, all without any adapters. With a continuous duty rating (nocooling necessary) quiet operation and a 60 second cycle time, the HD-2can fi t right on a desktop. HD-2 Operations: The HD-2 is exceptionallyuser-friendly. Simply place your media into the drawer on the rightside of the HD-2 and push the "Erase" button. Within 60 seconds yourmedia is erased. Open the drawer and remove your erased media. It justdoesn't get any easier than that! Safeguards: The HD-2 has beenindependently tested and certified to meet both ANSI and CE standards.Built-in safeguards check the stored power before each erase cycle. Inaddition, a built in gauss field sensor measures each charge. If eitherthe charge or the gauss field are insufficient, the HD-2 will emitaudible tones and light up the push buttons to report a failure statusto the operator. Degauss vs. Overwrite: The HD-2 produces an erasingfield many times stronger than the erasing fields produced by theread/write heads in hard drives and tape drives.
