The WSI Board is included as part of a package with Logicmaster 90-70programming software. If you have a Workmaster II computer, the WSI board wasinstalled at the factory. For installation instructions on other programmingdevices, consult the computer manufacturers instructions for option boards.GroundingBesure the computer has a ground connection in common with the CPU rack. This is usuallydone by connecting the programmer computer to the same power source (with thesame ground reference point) as the rack.CablingThecommunications cable that connects the computer to the PLC is a shieldedtwisted pair cable with a 37-pin D connector on each end. The maximum lengthfor this cable is 50 feet. After installing the Work Station Interface Board inyour computer, connect the computer to the PLC by first attaching the cable tothe Work Station Interface Board and then to either the SNP port on the CPUmodule or the parallel port on the Bus Transmitter Module (BTM).
