And so I dug it a little deeper tosee what these one wheeled motorcycles were all about. Correctingmy biggest concerns were the self balancing and max speed aspects. There is a self balancing feature similar toa segway and a little research shows it takes a new rider about an hour toeffectively train his/herself and feel comfortable. My second concern was speed. These are designed for short distancecommuting and are intended to go 20-30 miles at a time at a max speed of 20mpg. So yes, that relaxed my safetyworries about going 50 mph, but then why would anyone really need these? There are many reasons. Manueverabilityis huge.
