On the summer holiday of 2004, on behalf of Jilin University, I visited Kyungpook National University, a famous one of Korea. As a Chinese representative, I participated in more than ten communication activities between Chinese and Korean students. And I spread China’s traditional and modern cultures to Korean students as a cultural emissary. Through visiting, I acquired some Korean cultures and visited their educational system. In this process, I was deeply moved by advanced teaching modes and powerful scientific research strength of Korea’s higher education institutions. In comparison with other universities, though our university develops rapidly, it still lags behind top-ranking education of the world. Such feeling stimulated my passion for study. After my return from Korea, I made up my mind to do my bit to our country with my own power. This is an important reason for me to apply for your program. As a Chinese, I have the responsibility to build up my motherland with what I will have acquired abroad.Surefootedness, perseverance and diligence are good traditions that I succeed and they are also my life creeds. In face of graduation, due to great desire for knowledge as well as ardent love for specialized knowledge, I set my mind on pursuing further studies in UK so as to receive precise education, cutting-edge researches and novel thinking patterns of higher education institutions of UK, enrich myself and realize my own value.
